Challenge

Among other things, Catapult helps growing businesses raise the capital they need to grow.  They have been using a variety of campaigns to book appointments and start conversations with a variety of investors. None of these campaigns were delivering consistent results, so they approached Mat to help find a solution.

Approach

After reviewing the results of the campaigns we uncovered several critical flaws which were affecting performance. The time lapses between an initial outreach and the potential investor receiving enough information to make an informed decision of whether they were interested in a further conversation meant busy investors were not responding.

Solution

We developed a streamlined process which included all the relevant information and presented it in a fun and engaging way.  We also refined how we were going to profile potential investors and connect with them to improve the quality of prospects we reached out to as compared to their ideal investor avatar. This approach allowed us to measure activities and engagement in real time.

Experience

This new process dramatically shortened the time line, resulting in more appointments and pitches in front of qualified investors, allowing them to raise the capital their clients needed much faster and at a lower cost than before
